The plant, Dog Rose, is a well known, widely cultivated perennial vine that grows to 10 feet. Rosehips are the fruit formed from the flowers. Dried rosehips are ovoid-shaped, wrinkled and about 3/4" long. The hollow interior is covered with light-colored, stiff hairs and contains several yellowish-brown angular seeds.
